The Friends Café
We are situated on the ground floor of the North Wing. Our opening times are:
- Monday – Friday 7.00am – 5.00pm
- Saturday 9.00am – 4.00pm
- Sunday Closed at present
The Trolley Service is back. The well liked Ward trolley service is back and working most days.
LATEST CAFE AND SHOP NEWS
A limited range of HOT SNACKS are now available. Hot sausage rolls and hot breakfast bowls are amongst the items our staff can warm in our microwave. Look at the full list next time you are in.
24 Hour VENDING MACHINE. We have installed a hot drinks vending machine in the seating area by the shop. It is operated by card and no cash can be used.

Yoghurts, Ice creams and drinks
are now available at the entrance to the cafe.
We will adjust the type and range of these items as we get your feedback. We hope you enjoy the additional range of items we stock.
Spring has arrived – Ice frappes? With our new second coffee machine we were able to offer oat milk. But with Spring here and a garden to enjoy, why not try a Smoothie? Pop into our North Wing Cafe and check out our selection; and don’t forget your loyalty card.

Seating Area outside the Cafe
CAFE AND SHOP NEWS
A limited seating area at our cafe and shop on the ground floor in the North wing of Worthing Hospital is available to everyone. And now there is a garden to enjoy too. Please come and support us by having a cup of tea or coffee and a cake or sandwich .
Our friendly team will be very pleased to see and serve you. The area is also wheelchair accessible .
The ward trolley service is run by our volunteers who are doing a magnificent job running this well loved service. We hope to be able to maintain a 5 day service soon after we hope to recruit more volunteers. Are you in a position to volunteer and help? If so contact us at info@friendswh.org.uk or talk to any of the Friends staff in our cafe. Hopefully more volunteers will come forward to operate this much loved and valuable service.

We always try and listen and then react to the needs of our loyal Shop and Cafe customers. “More choice of milks” has been one clear suggestion and we are pleased to announce that a new machine has been installed offering oat milk.

The garden area adjacent to the cafe in the North Wing Courtyard has been opened in time for the Summer. The Friends along with the Trust Charity have financially supported this initiative. The cafe has funded the furniture. Please come and buy your drinks, ice creams and snacks and then go outside to enjoy the fresh air.
